Lamont Jordan
With a slow day in sports, it's time to find out where in the world Lamont Jordan is. Jordan, now 33 years old, played 9 years in the NFL with the Jets, Raiders, Patriots, and Broncos. Jordan signed a 5 year, $27.5 million contract in 2004 and ran for 1,000 yards the following season for the Raiders. As recently as 2009, Jordan was still in the NFL, playing for the Broncos. That same year, Jordan was sued by the Mirage casino for writing $20,000 in bad checks. Out of the NFL and with nowhere to turn (and seemingly broke?), Jordan is now playing for the Tru Playaz Dolphins of the Washington Area Flag Football League, or WAFFL, for those in the know. Interestingly enough, Jordan is listed as the kick returner/blocking back. His skills have eroded so much that he can't even be the feature back on a men's league flag football team. How the mighty have fallen. Here's to Jordan and the Tru Playaz Dolphins, may they take home the WAFFL title this season.
